About Prime7 Systems
Prime7 Systems was formed in 2007 in association with Prime Rail and Prime Intermodal businesses to provide technology solutions to support transportation industry operations. Our primary objective is to provide a cost-effective, industry-wide platform for automatically tracking chassis, trailers and trucks through a combination of monitored transaction points via passive RFID tagging.
Michael Rader, founder, was instrumental in the development of the Dallas Intermodal Terminal (DIT) for the Union Pacific Railroad. The DIT is a 360 acre facility with 4,000 slots located in the south Dallas corridor, 12 miles south of downtown. The facility is a "best-in-class" model for efficiency and the anchor interchange point for the region, moving over 500,000 containers annually between rail and truck transport.
Prime Intermodal is a 53 acre container yard located in Dallas, Texas. It is a state-of-the-art facility, employing RFID tagging at the gate operations and slot-based mobile yard inventory management operating through a centralized terminal operating system.
Prime7’s technology is developed from existing operations to meet the functional and business needs of managing transportation assets.
